so does the fall season take a break over xmas? when does this happen and for how long? the reason i'm asking such a silly question is that obviously i'm in aus, and our major break (for school etc) is over xmas. kids start holidays anywhere between lateish october (for uni and upper high school) to the week before xmas for primary school. then primary goes back last week in jan, and uni about late feb. so the networks disregard this as a rubbish season, because many people go away during this time. |

as you can see, zet brought up an interesting topic of conversation. thought i\'d pinch it and see how it goes. personally, i believe that there is a giant universe out there, and i think that we would be stupid to believe that we are the only intelligent species in it. and yes, i am a big sci/fi / star trek fan!!! |

to imzadi, i beat that one!! a man and his wife were spending the day at the zoo. she was wearing a loose fitting, pink dress, sleeveless with straps. he was wearing his usual jeans and t-shirt. as they walked through the ape exhibit, they passed in front of a large, silverback gorilla. noticing the wife, the gorilla went crazy. he jumped on the bars, and holding on with one hand and 2 feet he grunted and pounded his chest with his free hand. he was obviously excited at the pretty lady in the pink dress. the husband, noticing the excitement, thought this was funny. he suggested that his wife tease the poor fellow some more by puckering her lips and wiggling her bottom. she played along and the gorilla got even more excited, making noises that would wake the dead. then the husband suggested that she let one of her straps fall to show a little more skin. she did... and the gorilla was about to tear the bars down. 'now... show your thighs and sort of fan your dress at him,' he said. this drove the gorilla absolutely crazy, and he started doing flips. then the husband grabbed his wife, ripped open the door to the cage, flung her in with the gorilla and slammed the cage door shut. 'now. tell him you have a headache.' i thought it was priceless! |

you have 2 options there. either put in a new adsl line, or move out. i'd go for the first one, it's cheaper!! just give her those puppy dog eyes, and whine that the housing prices are soooooooo high at the moment, she couldn't possibly kick you out. trust me, mum's always fall for that! you should at least get another couple of months grace with her!!! |

1. definately. especially since now i watch my shows by the whole season. i either only just watched the last ep, or at worst, maybe a couple of days ago. it sometimes also makes me think (which hurts late at night, when i watch tv) that i have missed an ep, because for a brief second i forget where that snippet came from. 2. yep. shit me to tears. and unfortunately, sga and sg-sg1 are prime candidates for this. i love the shows, but it drives me crazy that the intro goes on forever. at the moment, i'm nearly finished watching brothers and sisters, and i love the fact that they put the title up for only a few seconds. its great!! 3. can't say that i have encountered that. i only notice the network logo on it, but they are so faint most of the time, that it seems to fade away after a while. |

i know what you mean aussiemadmum ... we're on 60gb split into peak and non- peek usage and and its never enuff!! ive got to wait another 10 days before ive got my off peak time back - the time i prefer to download. last month i used up both peak and off-peak in the space of two weeks and managed to get 10gb in pipe overnight for my eztv stuff ... but two weeks of dial-up surfing 24/7 is just hell. due to the writers strike, and another popular movie uploader taking a break for a while, theres not much pipe stuff out there to download this month. ah well ... woh is me. listen to me whinging that 60+gb of torrents a month isnt enuff ... tsk tsk. |
