http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/cassowary "the southern cassowary is the largest land creature in australia and the second heaviest extant bird in the world after the ostrich. it is third tallest after the ostrich and emu.[2] females are bigger and more brightly coloured. adult southern cassowaries are 1.5 to 1.8 m (5 to 6 feet) tall, although some females may reach 2 m (6 feet 8 inches), and weigh about 70 kilograms (154 pounds). [2] a cassowary's three-toed feet have sharp claws; the dagger-like middle claw is 120 mm (5 inches) long. this claw is particularly dangerous since the cassowary can use it to kill an enemy, disembowelling it with a single kick. they can run up to 50 km/h (32 mph) through the dense forest. they can jump up to 1.5 m (5 feet) and they are good swimmers." imagine if of these took a shine to you? run! the southern one i guess this means us! |

lol its not like getting mauled by a grizzly bear is it, but they are unpredictable and people underestimate them. you get caught out bush with one of them after you youl be in trouble. australian animals are the dumbest creatures on earth. like an emu can take a 3 foot swing and knock a can of beer out of your hands ouch! and drink the whole can, then if thats not enough it starts harassing you for more and pecks at you till you got to run you can get into serious shit. you swing at em and they don't feel shit for the 10 punches, you best getting out of there. aussie animals do not know when to stop nor do they learn fast. even a cute lil wallaby have made a mess of kids. like kangaroos they perch emselves on their back tails and use their very powerful legs to rip ya guts open. they are not cute and cuddly even if they look it. beware! |

ven, is it all better now? i had a similar problem that took me 3 days to track down, connection would lose sync every 6-10 minutes. process of elimination (fri night & all day sat sun) found it to be an external hdd attatched to my middle sons pc. narrowed it down to his room by the sunday morning, then after replacing power boards etc and doing a step by step turn on of things in his room came down to the usb hdd, still dont know whether it was the power supply or the actual hdd, but sure enough, turn it on in any room and the adsl loses sync, even with the router on a ups |

im pretty sure its a prob wif my isp tho. i know for a fact they suck ... dropouts, game ping times, and prioritising torrents are their major complaints on whirlpool - i just dunno how i missed it when researching for a new provider - i certainly wont make the same mistake again. the connection is quite stable between about 1am til about 6pm, then it just falls apart - especially if i start using torrents and/or i rc. two more months of contract and we will move on. glad im not trying to run an internet radio/tv station atm. grrr |
