thanks for this , this was one show i was looking forward to but now it looks
like it didnt even make the starting blocks , be interesting to see why it was
cancelled before even been screened.

maybe because there are already two other very similar shows on tv? blood ties
and moonlight.

ffs already alright... i read the article and i still voice the same concerns as
videoopiate... nowhere does it say "the show is cancelled"... "no episodes will
be shown"...

what i see is production has been has been "shut down indefinitely" and it is
"unlikely" they will order additional episodes beyond the 7 already produced...
granted it is on fox, so it doesn't take a magic eight ball to see a future for
this show is unlikely, but it's not buried yet

so without further ado... i now present the annual asshat award to e.a.c. for...
well, it should be obvious

oh, god, it's terrible. lol.

the only other cliche they could have put in the first 20mins would have been
him saving a baby from a burning building....no, wait, him running into a
homeless man while chasing someone...no, him running out infront of a taxi and
it slamming its brakes on and him banging the hood.

my fav was, by far, the horse. wow. exceptional. it just topped him messing
with a blood stain at a murder scene. (we all watch csi now. ya just can't do
that shizzle in a show) *smirks*

lol.

there's enough total sh*te on tv at the moment - i hope this gets buried.

1/10. even painkiller jane got about 3/10.

at least its not got vampires in this time, vampires have been done too death years ago. lol which is
why i didn't waste time with the other 2 vampire shows. but i can't see how you could drag this out for 12
episodes yet alone 20+ for a season.

just re-name the main character duncan and have him get into some sword fights
and i think this starts to resemble another show...

well there actually is another vampire show being made by hbo
called tru blood

moronic romance trash novel type of a show. bad scripting, bad acting, the woman
detective is an insult to the intelligence of their targeted viewers... oh,
wait, they're going after the drugstore paperback novel crowd... never mind 🙂

i`ve just seen new amsterdam and i would give it 9/10, a fantastic new show
shame it`s be put on hiatus/stopped production. the only thing that i would
change is the female lead character who is just terrible problem solved. new
amsterdam is a far better show than the unit/heroes, the only two good words
for these two shows is wooden tripe combined and they should both of been
cancelled long ago, they then could of spent the money that they saved on the
unit/heroes and spent it on new talent for new shows as well as improving the
shows they`ve already produce, this is just my opinion and maybe i`m
right/maybe i`m wrong.

you're not all wrong.

but why lump the unit with heroes together? those two are very different shows.

the unit is very bad quality nationalistic tear jerker moronic drama. on a scale
of 1 to 10 i'd give it a 1.5. worthless.

heroes was good in the first season but now it seems it has disintegrated in a
confusing story where everyone dies and is resurrected in 2 minutes, so what's
the point anyway, there's no sense of risk in the characters any more.

as far as this show, what's there to like - it's a simplistic love story and not
a good one at that. they could have done so much with the immortality concept
but they have just made it a commonplace romantic drama. as another poster said
above, its' full of worn out cliches.

this show is horrible. i watch both blood ties and moonlight (they're good
enough for vampire work) but this was a terrible pilot. it is an interesting
concept, but the acting and police procedure stuff was just plain bad. no cop
would behave the way amsterdam did (and get away with it). and, just how many
references to him being immortal did we really need in one hour?
