me too wasn't going to post but got stimulated to by australien's post.

just so you know, smartass, the http server's bandwith is also separated into
download and upload (http post and http get). so, when you write a comment to
the site, you're uploading something, consuming the server's download bandwidth.
however, the bandwidth that gets dried up when tons of people access the site
is the server's upload bandwidth.

so, unlike you said, posting comments won't have any negative impact on the
server's performance. on the other hand, accessing the comment pages once in a
while will actually consume the server's upload bandwith and f*** up the site
for the rest of us.

so, if you really wanna help, just get the f*** out of here and stop reading the
comments.

several time-outs before i could write the second msg about the quality.
the quality is good with no digital noise or other hickups in this release.
and to add to bitching going on on both sides. stop it plz. it makes this site
going down the drain. find yourselves a nice blog to bitch about the "thank
you's and not posting them here"!!!

i'm just a regular user like the rest of you, but regarding the 'thanks from
xxxxx' posts, i'd like to respectfully request that they be kept to a minimum
(or not posted at all.) people have made this request in the past.

i and many other users here use the message boards as a resource to check
quality of the downloads and perhaps review any discussions related to the
shows themselves. it gets very tedious and frustrating having to sort through
dozens of 'thanks from xxxxx' type posts to find relevant information.

i understand everyone's enthusiasm about this fantastic resource eztv provides
us for our entertainment pleasure. they rock! however, i hope they already
understand how appreciative we all are without hearing it a thousand times a
day.

that being said, you all are free to do as you wish, even if it might be a
little inconsiderate to a large number of other users. if we don't like it,
that's our problem.

i think it's inconsiderate of yours to request that everyone's post contents
should only relate to what you are interested in.
you manifest your main interests are:
1- check quality of downloads
2- review storylines

you should consider that:
1- most users of this site trust the general quality of download material of
this particular site.
2- many users don't need or are not interested on collective analysis of what
they watch.

most considerate behaviour is to let people post what they want and everyone
make the effort to search what they need.

i don't know who all the aussies are bitching about our countries crappy
internet, but personally i'm on 24mbit adsl2+, leaving most other countries in
the dust. just because telstra sucks doesn't mean you can't get good internet
in aus, you just have to not use telstra.

can anyone comment on the quality?!

somewhere in all the flames there is a couple of posts that confirms the
quality is fine..

personally, i'd like to be able to find out that the quality of an ep is ok or
not instantly, rather than trawling through pages of thank yous and people
complaining about thank yous.

obviously theres a huge difference of opinion across eztv regarding thank
yous, for some it's an inconvenience, for others it's a pleasure to see where
people come from and bask in the radiance of their gratitude.

whatever side you may stand on, i don't think it's fair either should have to
compromise. i would like to see a first post on every release automatically
that can be edited by admins, or selected few users as soon as there's any
problems (or quality confirmed). that way, people can still post whatever the
hell kind of thanks they want underneath, but those that are just looking for
quality control can get their fix inside of 30 seconds.
