i had heard rumors that channel 7 has bought the rights to show the *current*
season next year .. sbs are 2 years behind!
i'm rather scared of a "quintessentially australian" version of the show. makes
me think of steve irwin behind the wheel. it's the three guys that *make* this
show the show that it is. i don't care that they're testing european cars -- i
can't afford any of them anyhow -- i just enjoy the damned show!

i agree with biglug... the auzzie's are prob. 1 1/2 + years away from seeing
this air. it will be interesting to see how the production is run, whether
everything is filmed in advance or done the week of...
i can just imagine the test track. 2 miles of pure sand and dirt somewhere in
the outback.
betecha, the auzzie car maker holden will have a car in the studio for the first
episode. i just love the vxr 500 top gear tested.

if they get glen ridge to be on the show, then i'll be turning off. he annoys me

um, i think u guys misunderstood.
they have bought the rights to air season 10 and 11.
meaning it will start airing in 2008 as the top gear boys have finished filming season 10.
top gear has been around for over 10 years, and jeremy clarkson is on everyone.
i think everyone in this post totally misunderstood the meaning.
