notv fucked up!!
i'm trying to unpack this "brothers & sisters" episode (can't watch it as is,
on my
dvd
player) with mpeg modifier v1.4.4 as i do frequantly. but today, this utility
stops and declare that:
"this is not a valid mpeg 4 video (startcode not found at beginning of frame)
code: xvid."
this happens only with the notv files. what kind of dumb encoder are they
using and who needs that "packed bitstream" at all...
any idea how to unpack this episodes?

the only way i found to fix this episode was to re-encode it with auto gordian
knot. that got rid of the packed bit stream. after all that i discovered the
last 2 minutes and 25 seconds of the show had no audio. i can't believe there
wasn't a proper for this!
