whats the point of that link? it takes you to a site where you have to pay for a
passport to download the episode. what a waste of time.

no you dont have to pay to download the file, but the site allows you
only to download 300 mb of the file. just go on the bottom of the website and
click on "donwload the file"...
if you accept then, you can get the file in about 30 minutes. then you need to
rename the file as same as the name included in the torrent and copy it in
your download folder of your bt client. if you start then for example azureus,
you have already downloaded about 85% of the file in 30 minutes. your download
will continue with azureus...

whats the use of that, the download goed aprox 150kb/s using the torrent is
way quicker

well when your speed has never gone over 50kb/s, it might be useful

50k? then you have set up your bt client incorrectly. i get 600k+ on all
torrents.

the basic tips are though

port forward your chosen port on your router to the client box

make sure all firewalls lets your 1 chosen port
have 2 way traffic on both tcp and udp

mare sure you only allow 80% max ( i use 70%) of your ul speed to be used
for uploading so the rest can be used for downloading. i.e. talking
to all those other peers and the tracker takes a good bit of ul bandwidth
also. downloading at 500k a second while connected to around 100 peers
and the tracker needs about 30k to 40k a second of your ul bandwidth

make sure encryption is turned on (this helps hide the stream
from isp's and line owners who if they see a bt stream will
throttle them back) and of course it is more secure for you anyway.

make sure your rcvwin/tcpwindowsize is not too large. 64k max!
large buffers like 256k are great for downloading 1 large file from
1 server with lots of latency in the route between you and them
but sucks for bt where thousands of very small packets are being sent
back and forth to and from hundreds of peers and the tracker.

don't use a standard incoming listen port like 6881. try something
like in the 49152
