i don't agree with you. i feel season 3 is better than the second half of season 2, but, if you want to take a look at a show that is miles above this one in execution, its carnivale. carnivale, especially the first season, is so well put together, it's like watching a 20 hour movie rather than watching 2, 12 episode seasons of television. lost doesn't even begin to approach that, yet you claim it's close to the dickens' serial. lost is above average tv for broadcast networks, but it doesn't even come up to the level of battlestar galactica, let alone carnivale. |

no actually dungeonraider was right, fans were complaining about all the periodical breaks for 1 week or 2 weeks in season 1 and 2. so abc being smart decided to have one big break (as dungeonraider said) not to interupt story lines and to release a new show. but of course the public will never be pleased. |

i have nothing against them having a long break, it definitely beats having lots of gaps randomly (something we don't really do much in the uk so very frustrating to try and keep up with!). south park splits up the season in half and i think its the better for it. my only problem though is why they have decided to have the break after only 6 episodes, surely it would make more sense to have a gap half way through the season rather than just showing a quarter of it then the other three quarters? or am i missing something? |

i dont think that thats it at all, lost has never wrapped up its story lines & its huge in the us.. i cant quite pin it down but its not as consistantly good as it has been.. some eps are really good & oone or 2 just so so.. on another note, anyone here a 'dead like me' fan? such a pity it was canned after 2 seasons.. |

i posted this in another thread.. but it applies here, so i'll copy and paste. the producers have said in interviews and such that it is a limited series... it is only going to be 5 seasons long... the entire main plotline is alreay written for the entire 5 seasons... and was from the very beginning... there are a few creators/writers/producers at the very top level that already know how it ends.. this is why i scoff at all those assholes that say the line we have already heard a million times: "i'm gonna stop watching lost soon if they keep giving us more questions and don't start explaining stuff!"... its a retarded statement, because you know eventually it will all be explained... likely over seasons 4 and 5. |

agreed dexter and heroes are the stand out shows this season, great tv. rgearding lost i remember lindelof talking on a tv show once and he was talking about more like 8 seasons of material, unless they have now revised it and shortened it down. |

cheers! thx for advice regarding what to play the dvd's on, i'll be sure to try it. p.s anyone who says lost is getting boring are way off the mark. it's just getting deeper and deeper. plus the break is a good thing. now i can catch up on my prison break. |
