this is a remake of an english show called 'wild at heart' with the same plot
line. i used to watch it if nothing else was on, and mainly only for the
animals they work with. you'll see lions, elephants and every thing else you'd
expect to see in south africa (over the course of the season).
nice shots of beautiful landscapes and animals, but some below average acting,
cliched dialogue, and a suspiciously 'too rosy' view south africa mean that
this isn't going to be a show for me. one of the earliest scenes sees the
father figure stopping a stampeding elephant by waving his arms at it. yeah,
that always works!?
seconding the nice african landscape and cliched acting and dialog.
to be fair...it wasn't a stampeding elephant (actually a rather slow elephant),
but the father of the show did look like a big fool waving his arms about.
