the new intro score is horrible... this ain't techno or electronic...
the old one was better, not perfect but better...
and on the ctv angle: cool thing:-) i totally forgot that ctv airs ci too... so there's no problem with it
anymore;-)))
and i agree on the bionic woman thing, good new show that deserves a chance on nbc, but personally
think it's not gonna make it on nbc... bionic woman is scifi channel show... i think with a god script it
has huge potential, but part 2 was kinda disappointing... part 1 was really good...
i love usa as a channel, but nbc/universal has to get their hd lineup on directtv/dish and on the cable
providers asap... scifi needs an hd channel and usa too!!!
universal hd and nbc hd is not enough... they have the resources to bring the rest of their channels
over to hd... bandwidth isn't the issue anymore with the new satellites and h264 encoding... in most
cities there's enough room to put those channels into the atsc multiplexes... just not as 1080i, but i'm
fine with 720p nbc hd, universal hd, scifi hd and usa hd ;-) but it would hurt their revenue from
cable/sat.. but ad revenue would increase more than it would decrease since more viewers would
switch to free atsc over the air and it would revitalize over the air (antenna) reception and i think abc
and other large groups would be interested in getting more frequencies in the major metro areas... i
think it a huge possibility to counter the almost monopoly of satellite and cable... over the air atsc
without more channels is not really competitive... right now atsc is nbc hd, abc hd, cbs hd, fox hd,
cw hd and pbs hd. the rest of the channels is not important... 6 channels that are mostly only
broadcasting interesting stuff in prime time is not competitive against 24h programming on
sat/cable... and the other programming in the multiplexes of the network like weather channel and
that stuff cold be easily substituted by sdtv resolution channels like usa and scifi in the transition to
more programming on atsc... let's see what the future holds... and i think atsc will go h264 like next
generation dvb-t in europe. this would allow atsc to transmit 2x more channels on the same
bandwidth... new hardware needed for that but people got used to new standards... haven't we? ;-)
