according to tv.com it's a separate episode altogether...but yeah...there's no
way they could show the original pilot now without messing with continuity...
i am happy to see that one of the original geico characters is now on the show
though...i can't remember if i saw him in the pilot or not...but i don't think so
this is why it makes sense to ask if the broadcast versions differ from the
preairs. sometimes they listen to us on these boards and make major changes when
we bark loud enough.
i'm convinced they leak them on these sites so they can get reactions from
people other than the tv critics who most of the time have their heads up their
asses.

actually, in this particular case, the original pilot was trashed by practically
everybody who watched it, including regular viewers, critics and marketing
people. abc really had no option but to change it substantially.
no idea how the first got a crappy rating, me and everyone i know loved it.
this one's not bad, but i don't see it going further than a season without
getting some sort of edge like the first version had.

is anyone going to post what the nfo says?
inspired by the geico insurance commercials, cavemen takes a look at life
through the eyes of three modern cavemen as they journey through the world.
joel, nick and jamie are contemporary cavemen living in suburbia trying to be
ordinary men leading ordinary lives. as they try to assimilate into modern
world, nick begins to feel like society will never fully accept them, jamie goes
with the flow, and joel finds himself torn between tradition and modern life.
