thanks. great continuation of an already great trend, led by ctu - 720p rips.

i have already downloaded and watched 350mb version, but will download and seed
this one just to add to the overall interest for the 720p releases.

i'm not complaining... but most of the 720p shows that i download keep pausing
and the picture freezs and skips ahead. its kinda agravating when watching the
shows. could it be something wrong with my computer? i dont have this problem
when watching movies or any other show! its only on the hd 720 shows that this
happens to me! is anyone else having this problem?

thanks

sounds like your pc probably isn't powerful enough to play them. i can manage
fine with 720p stuff, but have found that, in order to play 1080p stuff, i have
to close all non-essential applications and give the video playing software high
priority, and sometimes they just about play ok.

if you get glitches on hd media consistently, then i would tend to blame your
hardware. however, i get graphic stutters/glitches on some 720/1080 tv rips too,
and it's *not* a hardware problem (4gb ram, intel dual core, 7900 gtx). i say
this with certainty because they are not consistent, some work fine, including
hd dvd rips, and other hd media and some don't. that leads me to believe that
the errors stem from whatever conversion/recording process the group is using on
their hd release. it's understandable though, hd is relatively new and hell, we
still get glitches and sync errors on "old school" xvid rips.

how do you play these 720p files? there must be a codec or program to
install. they won't play with xvid.

mkvextractgui demuxes to a 5.1 ch ac3 audio and .h264 video file.

try this link for h264 codec:

http://www.moviecodec.com/topics/5512p1.html

(replace xx with tt)

btw this file is a bit jerky in the first five minutes or so, but settles down
fine after that.

endorsed: thanks to the 720p posters.

i just love these 720p x264 postings.
it is better in terms of sound and picture quality.

for users that connect your pc to your tv, i download a package called pure
codec and it works fine for almost all kind of format, x264 included.
actually, i have even played ts files through this package and it worked just
fine.

after seeing tv series through x264, you really won't like those avi files.
give it a try and let's hope we'll be seeing more and more x264 postings.

yup, there are some glitches on this release, and it's not hardware related. p4
@ 3ghz, ati x1650 with hardware x264 decoder ... and still having (minor)
problems. hm ...

edit

ok, problem solved. there is some problem with used codecs, so only cccp works
fine with this release. use that codec for matroshka container 🙂

look at previous posts and its all there 🙂 you can also search net about more
. mkv related infos. and dvd ... stand-alone dvd player ...? hm, nope, i don't
think u can run it with it. after all, pc is great multimedial machine and u
don't need another player. and: .mkv is designed for computer use, so there
aren't stand-alone machines with it's support, or at least - not many of those
dvds exists out there ...
you can try some video converters to get .avi from other formats, but quality
may not be what you expect ... never used any of those, so can't help you with
program selection ...
