after using these istole.it trackers for the last couple weeks i can honestly say they really blow chunks. i get 3 to 4 times the dl speed by removing it and sticking in a piratebay tracker. i suppose it will remain an unsolved mystery why eztv uses them. |

that's because they have been offline.. an offline tracker does not give you peers does it? this is a rhetorical question. |

second try bottom line, i downloaded 3 episodes of "skins" to see what all the hoopla was about before calling my daughter and warning her about the show for my grandchildren. within 24 hours i received 3 notices of claim of copyright infringement from my isp, they had the torrent linked to eztv, and when i dropped off the final numbers, and re googled it, it listed every torrent site that had that episode on it. i called my isp and am waiting for a call back. first of all , there is no "copyright" notice anywhere on the mtv website, and the series is available on youtube etc, etc, etc, and since i subscribe to my isp's hdtv with dvr, i can record any show i want to even pay per view events. so where is the copyright in that case??? anyway, it appears that istole.it is the company which will work for anybody to track anything whatsoever. and eztv uses it to track their torrents. a real help to mtv since istole.it already has all the info needed. i have 2 questions first is it a reality to use someone like bt guard??? or some other proxy server? or would it be just as easy to pull the torrent into utorrent and go to the tab "trackers" and remove the istole.it or any other suspicious looking tracker??? any feedback will be much appreciated, and also a warning to all eztv users as well as most torrent sites. thanks tbh |

i just got a message from comcast about copyright infringement and the tracker it listed was the istole.it one. i was wondering if this is a remote incident or if the tracker is reporting back to companies to get people caught?
