Private Practice S01E01 HDTV XviD-NoTV

talk about jumping right into it. show feels abit fake.. havent got to know the
characters at all and they go right into their problems all at once in 1 go..
crappiest introduction to a new show ive seen.

there was plenty of introduction for them in grey's anatomy...

ya but it was a crappy introduction on grey's too.

i agree, i found this season premiere pretty lukewarm.

why do absolutely all the characters have to be such oddballs? sure, they're
all attractive 40 somethings but...looks like the surfer guy is the most
normal.

a complete let down... i did enjoy the special episode that they put in grey's
anatomy for us to prepare for this, but this was so below that one and it
seems impossible to think that it can turn for the better anytime soon.

the jokes fell flat... it was pretty lame actually. addison was a better
character in ga... its as if they re-wrote her whole character.

i'll probably give it another chance or two.

am just in the midle of season 2,so i can't guess easy...

i think it's 3.22 and 3.23, i'm like 97% certain.

any one know what the deal is with her contract? i heard that if this show fails kate walsh can go back to
grey's, but i've also heard thats not true. if it is true... i'm most certainly not watching private practice. and
does anyone know what the ratings were like for this episode... in english not in neilsonese. thumbs up or
thumbs down?

i feel pretty much the same way as you do. i truly hope they can turn it around
asap, because i'm not sure how many more episodes i can endure.

after the "pilot" i thought it was looking like a pretty good show.
but, after watching the latest ep. i changed my mind.
it just didn't feel that interesting & i don't "feel" the caracters.
i kept wondering what the others where doing in seattle while watching this.
i think i'll actually skip this one, there are plenty of shows that are better

i dunno wat the deal with the contract is jus if this is tru, then rather then
watching jus download it,
they wont get no ratings if everybody jus downloads the show and doesnt watch

i thought it was well put together, taking an established character and
transporting her to a whole different show. they set the back story in about
7mins flat and saved us 4 eps of fluff.

seemed fine to me.

sure... the concept is great, and how they established the back-story, and
created the spin-off that is kind of well put together... however, the show
simply sucked! there's no other way to put it. they had a great thing in their
hands, and they just totall blew it.

maybe they should have gotten one of the ga's regular writers to write the
first ep for this.

seriously - i was expecting this to be somewhere near as good as grey's
anatomy (let's face it, it couldn't have been better or equal to that), but
this was actually equal to most of those shows that i don't even consider
watching.

terrible show. absolutely dreadful.

how could anyone pack up and move to another job without knowing what staff or
equipment they'd be getting??? oh i know, a doctor who is supposed to be the
best in her field. come on, how ridiculous is that.

i agree with all the other posts, i.e. personality problems being exposed to
early etc etc.

oh did i forget to mention, how is that these people who go to this "private
practise" can afford the bills? i mean that young girl having the baby can't
really have the money to afford 3 private doctors. it's just so riduculous.

and all these "doctors" seem to do all day is... well nothing and get paid.

this show has been dumped me and my wife's viewing list.
hope the show doesn't make it past 3 episodes before the network drops it like
a hot stone.

don't waste your time downloading it. trust me it's 42 minutes you won't get
back.

they did have one of the "regular writers" write this show. shonda rhimes, the
creator of grey's and this show, wrote this exact show. i don't think it was
that bad and i feel that a lot of grey's fans are just comparing it to the
characters from grey's. i love grey's anatomy, and i feel that all true grey's
fans shouldn't write off private practice until you have given it more than one
chance. the writers of grey's are amazing and i know they will give us a new
show we will all love, we just need to give it time.
