most american series, they can get 2 seasons out of before things start going
down in quality. that works out to be 48 episodes.

chris morris (the shows writer) ((dennam)) is such a versatile genius it freaks
me out.. i love the guy, "the day today" brasseye" "my wrongs" and "jam" (his
earlier comedy's) were dark abstract and totally hilarious masterpieces. it
crowd is such a contrast to his other work, yet still so funny. he deserves
utmost respect for being such a bloody flexible bastard. kudos to the actors as
well. i love how everybody is working with everybody in british comedy at the
moment, its like one big happy comical family. its great to keep seeing familiar
faces in different shows. hope mark heap makes an appearance in it crowd at some
point though! morris favored him in earlier shows, and his work in "spaced" and
"green wing" was some of the best comedic acting ever.. love this new series and
thank you eztv...

hmm, well, i'm not sure, but afaik he was just a cast member in it crowd.. the
writer is billed as graham linehan, who also worked on father ted and black
books - two similar styles of humor. linehan also directed the it crowd.

?! o.o

according to my digiguide there are 2 more episodes (smoke and mirrors on 21 aug
& the joy of sex on 28 aug), but the slot for 5th october is still "to be
announced", so i'm really hoping there's a couple more this time around.

hi all!
just wanted to let u know that this show rocks. it is freakin' hilarious.this
episode is great or the brits say "brilliant".the 1st episode was right on
funny as well.i laugh my ass off watching this show.yje actors are simply fab.
i hope they can keep the quality going strong. too bad they only make 6 at
a time. :-( only one show i liked better in recent times: gimme gimme gimme.
i know u either hate this show or luv it. best britcom over the years:
" some mother's do have 'em". michael crawford was amazing in that show.then
he turns around and does "phantom of the opera". talk about versatile.
jump in and let us know some of your favourite british comedies.
cheers mate!!

a british series is 6, any more and the jokes
would be spread toothinly and the show would become shit; see american (none
animated) comedies.

i know plenty of these so called american shows that can
muster more than 6
brilliant episodes a season, and i find this comment offensive. an example
would be scrubs, and it isn't the only one.

scrubs can run forever because they have not had original joke or idea since
episode 3. the show hasn't got better or worse its just the same as every week,
please let it die.

last i heard there were 8 eps this season and not all seasons are 6 (torchwood,
doctor who, holby blue, etc...etc..) so whoever said that is full of it.

we're only getting 4 episodes this year? wtf. cheap ass british
producers,
skimping on the shows.

it`s not being cheap when you choose to prioritize quality over quantity,
something many many other producers should try btw
i think a show is cheap when it has pointless episodes just to make more cash,
not when it presents the very best, imho.

ahh yes! my wrongs.. the series is written and directed by graham linehan
(writer of father ted and black books, with whom morris collaborated on the day
today, brass eye and jam) and produced by ash atalla (the office). nice to see
them all chipping in though..
