thanks for posting this, i always enjoy gala / opening night shows. pity the
actual performances themselves are never televised, although i guess that's the
point of seeing live comedy 😉
just for laughs (or the aussies like to call it the 'international comedy
festival') is a giant festival in montreal canada. every year, comics from all
over the world go on stage and perform. just for laughs is probably one if not
the most prestigious places to perform stand-up.
and yes it is televised. on cbc television and the comedy network in canada. the
comedy network is the canadian equivalent to americas 'comedy central'.
and it is certainly not anything like last comic standing. the people on this
show are actual, already well known stand-up performers.

well the older women going on about her kids and how drunk she gets etc was from
last comic standing and her sct was almost identical to the one she did on last
comic standing
i'm from montreal, and the jfl festival is a great way to spend a nice summer
day laughing your socks off. lots of well known comedians have attended and it
is nothing like last comic standing. watch it and see for yourself xd
