wow!! fastest download ever---lighting speeds d/l 13 minutes. thanks everyone

love this show!!! i know it\'s not fast moving,no violence etc. but it\'s
about everyday life not fantasy.
also would like to comment about the incessant smoking on the show!! it\'s
really life like because this takes place in 1960 and back then most people
smoked and you could smoke everywhere: in stores,theatres,etc..not condoning
smoking just saying the show depicts happenings as they were in that era.

yeah - one of, if not the, classiest tv show ever made - and it's not remotely
slow-moving at all, it's sharp, vicious, dark and ruthless.
whilst it depicts everyday life, it does so in an extremely idealised and
larger-than-life way, with arty, stylised and surreal shit occurring from shot
to shot.

life expectancy must have been about 40 back then (ok, not really, but i can't
imagine how they went longer) from the staggering amount of smoking and
drinking and unhealthy eating. not that most eat that much better today, but
many do, and everyone knows what can do you in.
s&d on this show are like swearing on deadwood.
i've read that about half the cast smokes in real life now, which is up from
when they shot the pilot. thankfully, on the show they use herbal cigs only
(not that those aren't bad for you too, but they're not as bad).

why is don draper always looking so pained (in every episode, not just this
one), as if he always has a case of indigestion?
