you are obviously not british otherwise you would know why top gear isn't back
on air yet!
on september 20th presenter richard hammond was involved in a life threatening
crash while filming a piece for the show. in an attemt to break the british
land speed record his jet powered dragster veered off the road at nearly
300mph and subsequently crashed.
he suffered a serious head injury and was airlifted to hospital where he spent
a couple of days in intensive care.
less of the doom and gloom though!! since then he seems to have made a
miraculous recovery and there are hopes that he will be back to 'normal' very
soon. filming has resumed and i would guess the new series will begin in the
new year.
i can't believe nobody over the pond heard of this, it was huge news here in
the uk for weeks. plus how hard would it have been for you to do a quick
search on the show before posting here?
i'm in all the way in california, but i still heard about it. really glad
hamster is making the miracle mend. i was worried when i heard about his
accident. i guess the collective goodwill of the uk really helped.
as a matter of fact, i did check the show's website, but wasn't able to find anything. although, now that
you mention it, it's possible that at one point i had heard about hammond's accident. thanks for the info!
