firstly a big thanks to loki & eztv!!!
mad men apparently losing audience each week. lost over one third of viewers in
the second week alone.
"elsewhere in cable ratings, amc's mad men dropped off sharply in its second
week, from 1.6 million total viewers last thursday to 1.04 million on july 26 at
10 p.m." broadcastingcable
i love the show, but less and less people are watching each week. so, i guess it
was not a high priority to upload. the first screening of episode 5 was
apparently not recorded by the scene, but after being equal to the most
requested show on eztv, the rerun which broadcast on sunday august 19 at 10 in
the morning was recorded and offered here.
29,901 downloads of mad men episode 4 on mininova alone so far. hopefully, the
cappers will see from this that mad men is in demand.
the scene has taken time and effort only for the return of having people like us
entertained. living outside the us and not having access to many tv shows, i am
so grateful for this lifeline.
big thanks again to loki & eztv!!!

what planet do you live on?
anyone in the scene actually encoding mad men abhors and ridicules p2p/bt sites
such as mininova.

again, what planet do you live on?
many in the scene state explicitly they wish their releases to be kept off
sites such as this. how on earth do you reach the conclusion they take the time
and effort that they do to entertain people like us on p2p/bt sites?
anyway, loving mad men. not the fastest pace show but that would be missing the
point. unfortunately intellectual shows such as this are never going to win
ratings competitions.

ok paradox, you are right. i've come back to your planet now. however, you're
making comments on eztv, which provides direct links to mininova, hence i left a
reference to the number of downloads there as an indication of mad
men's popularity.
the spirit of my message was simply one of thanking the encoders efforts,
however, as you point out, their efforts may not be directed to people on this site.
anyway, i appreciate your comments, paradox, you've cleared up the way things
work for me

will there ever be a widescreen version of this episode on the bt circuit? i'm
kind of a stickler for this type of thing and would just like to know if it
might happen sometime, or will i just have to wait for the dvd.
it's a particular shame because mad men is really one of the most beautiful-
looking film-like shows on right now.

yeah it is a pity the show is only broadcast in sd. according to wikipedia it
is avaiable in hd from video-on-demand affilitates though.
guess we will just have to wait for the eventual dvdrips.
dsr is so awful, but better than nothing really.

well, the widescreen dsrs that we've been getting up until this episode have
been phenomenal. i just can't believe that you can find just about anything
online today, even shows that are both crappy and low rated, and something like
mad men gets brushed off.
