oh yeah, and to anyone who's interested: gateworld.net is reporting that
michael shanks and lexa doig will guest star in an upcoming episode of eureka!

be glad to see lexa in something again - wish she'd gotten loken's role in
painkiller jane, she was up for it apparently and would have improved it
dramatically imo.
michael shanks is also in an upcoming movie called mega snake (airs on sci-fi on
aug 25) with the winner from season one of who wants to be a millionaire, feedback.

what? really? didn't know that doig was up for loken! dang... i can really
picture her in that role. i watch the show, so i would probably know...
but glad to hear michael's jumping from one project to the next. he's one tv
actor that should be recognized for more than just being dr. jackson. but...
i'll give the movie a shot. most of his movies never do too well, though. =(

freudian slip though because they're probably all in it for the money they
expect to make out of their characters if they win. 😛

that's weird that doig was in the race for the role, since the whole tv show
concept, the production and the cast was done by lokken. i'm sceptical.

concept. scripts were being shopped around to other actresses and they were
looking at other people for the cast before loken came on board. imo she pretty
much bought herself the role by bringing money to the production. at that point
she suggested changes and some of them were taken on board and she also had
casting input.
it was actually mentioned on michael shanks official site before the series was
officially announced as going ahead that lexa was being considered for the role
in the "proposed on-going series". it was never mentioned why she didn't get it
but someone suggested on a forum that at the time she wasn't ready for a
full-time gig yet because her kid was just under a year old, so it may have been
her decision.
