you won't find eureka in hidef, at least not for quite some time. scifi
transmits only in standard def even tho most of their original stuff in filmed
in hidef. the reason why you find hidef versions of other stuff like bsg and the
stargates is that they are rebroadcast by foreign affiliates that license them.
sometimes they even air before the scifi broadcast but mostly its a 2-4 month
delay. not all that bad if you're willing to wait for the quality. i've watched
the dsr/pdtv caps of bsg and stargate sg-1 and have watched many of the same eps
in hr and 720p. man it makes a big difference but i'll take what i can get for now.
i'm afraid, for a quite a while, the best quality you'll be able to get is dvd
rips in the future. i have seen 720p version of season 1 just pop up however,
which means it's being rebroadcast somewhere in hidef. heres hoping whoever it
is maybe bought all the way thru season 3 and we might see hidef versions
sometime this year.
not until october when skyonehd plays s02
fitchyfrune, skyonehd is currently playing eureka s01 in 1080p h264 hdtv
broadcasts every friday.
720p on hdbits for them
i'm guessing they are planning to play s01 (again) and then just go from playing
s01e12 to s02e01 in october
so ws.dsr is the best for now (if only usa broadcasted sd as good as uk).
but dsr's have improved in 2007 (maybe cause of fios?), like having better color
and quality. but they are still no ws.pdtv or hdtv rip.
notv and dimension have a good dsr source. -sys uses old dsr source, not as
good. i don't know about other groups, but for the most part notv is doing eureka
