it was interesting at first, but now it's just extremely weird. i feel like
i'm spacing out when i watch this show, like i can get up and go and not pause
it and not give a crap.
with other show's i dl, i don't do that, only with this one. the sissy
snapping is overkill and the way ed o'neill is, it's just sad to see an actor
in a role like that.
i must admit i spent the whole of the first episode thinking to myself:-
"what the fuck was hbo thinking, letting david milch make this shit ?"
... but somehow, something about the atmosphere of it got me hooked, so i
continued to download the rest.
sure, it's no deadwood, but there's still something beautiful about the way he
bends language to his will and, importantly, leaves space for silences that
the actors are good enough to make their own.
the actual *plot*, such as it is, doesn't seem to be the real point of the
thing.
i was really excited about the show at first, and it has had its moments.
however, at some point they need to show at least something about what the hell
is going on. 8 episodes and i just don\'t get it. i feel like an4rew does. the
show ends and i just put my hands in the air and say \"what?\"
i don't watch csi moron, i do watch dexter, weeds, rescue me and shows like
that, yes even deadwood was a show i watched.
this show is soo random and boring, some of the dialogue is soo out of whack,
i mean do people even live like this in real life? butchie has a 1000 cell
phone and lives in a shack, yet he has the money to buy drugs and drives a
beater vw and doesn't make any money from surfing.
are we supposed to believe he has a nest egg? the guy had his surf boards
hidden from him so he wouldnt sell it, a guy only sells his stuff when he has
no money left.
yeah, believeable, sure...show sucks, the show had its mystery "lets see how
this goes" and now after 8 episodes...its just tired.
