ugh, this show is terrible. the fact that a hack like ant is one of the judges
makes it all the worse. and could bill bellamy be any worse? talk about a
hack, it's like he stole his "comedy" from the 80's. "white people <insert
racial stereo type>. black people <insert racial stereo type>. <make goofy
face>. my kids <insert stereotypical problem with child here>, <do goofy walk,
make goofy face>."
the funny, original comedians didn't even make it on the show. they seem to
give you more points if your fat, a hack, or gay; fat gay hacks get triple
points.

as an amateur comic myself, i like this show because it brings stand-up back to
the forefront. the 80's were the glory days of stand-up and the clubs have been
suffering ever since. there is still some great talent out there that needs to
be discovered. while i do agree the the choices are made in order to even out
demographics (i.e. women picked over men because they are trying to elevate
visibility of (straight)women comics), it's still fun to watch and the quality
is pretty decent. which reminds me...where's episode 8??? ;-)

i haven't seen episode 8 anywhere. i know that my recording of it had a chunk
that i missed because nbc broke in to report the minneapolis bridge collapse.
perhaps others had similar issues and no one got a clean enough capture to put
up here.

okay thanks for the information. i'll keep waiting, hopefully tomorrow it
will come through. would like to see the show, at least this thread explains
why its so darn hard to find.

what's up with tvtorrents? they won't even let you download a torrent after
joining - apparently you have to "prove yourself" & find another torrent on
their site first that you already have, and upload (seed) that for awhile before
you can earn enough "credits" to actually download torrents from them. whatever.
not a fan of that system. i am all for seeding something & contributing it, but
the jumping through the hoops to download one damn torrent is ridiculous.
i am looking for last comic standing s05ep09 - anyone actually willing to share
that on here? otherwise will have to keep looking for it on other sites or
usenet & will post here if i find it, without all the ridiculous "conditions" of
tvtorrents.

actually, it's not not quite like that. for the sake of argument, i checked 3
different tv show programs that i had on my hard drive on the site & all of the
had way more seeders than leechers, making me just getting 1 episode alot more
trouble than it's probably worth. i'm not asking to be invited into some super
exclusive membership @ tvtorrents, i simply want the last epiosde of last
comic. i do the majority of transactions (seeding & leeching) on demonoid. i
just think that when you advertise using tvtorrents, you should also mention
that it is not instant gratification. you will most likely not get the episode
you want for a couple of days after joining (& that's only if your lucky enough
to find something needing seeding on there), and are lucky enough to find
leechers for it, because since it is such a ratio dependent site, most
everything popular is very well seeded right now from what i've seen.
i obviously support seeding, as very important to bittorrent sharing, but i also
don't like being held responsible for the actions of people before me.
i've read the faq on tvtorrrents & the reason of the "credits' is because of the
abuse of the system of previous members. great. thanks.

yeah, ok, i imagine if your able to provide a needed torrent ,it's a good deal,
