this... in a world where dexter gets page after page of good episode praise..
why cant they just make a new decent sci fi - not the 'bad humor buffy' style
reapers, or the rip off 'ohnoes more termintators' or the 'hold your breath till
you die , no really just hold it, honest' losts and all the quirky funny bizarro
daisy pushing shows, or the 'roswell meets the oc' vill of small.
why not for once, a decent, well thought out, cop-the-lot no cheese thanks, sci fi.
no.. just this ??
it's called lipstick jungle ffs.. i am definite that somehow that equates to
"sudden death" in the industry...
why not a show called "babs and the babes" about 4 ex-cheerleaders, who by day
work as super hotties at the beauty salon, oblivious to the world around them,
yet at night fight crime using their mascara applicators and hail curlers,
wearing nothing but g-strings and boob tubes.
crikey...
i might have to rewatch jekyll again now, just to get these damn absurd thought
outta my head.

just downloaded it, haven't watched it yet... i don't care if it's bad, or

i didn't think the show was that bad, maybe it's just me, but i can enjoy series
like sex and the city even though i am a man.

me = woman
show = baaaaaad
weighing in just so ya'll know you're not all guys here.
i admit, i wasn't interested based on the description. male
or female, a show about powerful career _____s doesn't
immediately sound like my kind of show. (what can i say, my
demographic is "slacker." ) but since ya'll were discussing
it, and since it was billed as partly a comedy, i thought
what the hell. but when 4 minutes in they started talking
about shoes as if objects of importance, i was cringing.
overall, the show feels dated, i might've guessed
it was some off-brand early 90s movie if i didn't know
better. i also thought the acting was uniformly bad.
anyway, i could only make it halfway through.
i am curious about what makes people think of a show as a
"chick show." in this case, i'm sure the sex and the city
connection contibuted. but for example, if the show's
description was the same but with male leads...
"this show tracks three powerful career men who are willing
to do almost anything for success in the business world: andy
healy, a successful movie executive, victor ford, a high
profile architect, and nick reilly, editor-in-
chief of a hot selling sports magazine. their thirst for
achievement is sure to get them where they want to go--but at
what personal cost?"
would that influence thinking a show might be a "guy show"
instead of a "chick show"? as above, it could be describing
a show something like mad men. (which btw i did watch
despite the "powerful career _____s" cause i thought it
might be cool because of the retro-ness, though ep1 was
disappointing.)

based on the pilot, this may be a guilty pleasure of mine come this fall... it's
definitely watchable; the three leads seem to be better characters than the four
in 'sex in the city'.

i'd much rather watch reaper one more time
if only for you know it made him sleepy and you were supposed to move that
with your mind! lol
:)
reaper you say? have you seen the pilot? if so, where'd you find it?
edit: never mind, i found it. lol.
i am a woman, and i gotta say this was boring. the only chick i was remotely
interested in was the fashion designer. why were all the women so...weepy and
shit? it was ah-noying.
btw, eztv - can you guys post the gossip girl pilot and maybe the cashmere mafia
pilot also? i'm actually kinda interested in those (don't make fun of me, boys...)

i think i will have to agree with the general commenting
trend...
mainly because as a guess we are all male and therefore because this series is
aimed at women we are not interested in seeing this...
thanks for another pre-air...since this is nbc...i hope there is a heroes
pre-air soon. (it will not come out till after comic-con i don't think.)
well, for the record, i am female and i have no interest in seeing this either.
why didn't i get the memo about only guys wanting to download them there tv
shows off the internets?

yikes!! what a disaster!!
this is no sex in the city and i don't think the demographic will be fooled.
no likeable characters except for lindsay price. surprised to see julian sands
and andrew mccarthy.
does anybody else notice the slight lisp brook shields seems to have? or is it
just my player?? did she burn her tongue or something?
