well that is sorta how ac3 works. (though it should not be that low)
i suggest you install ffdshow and use the real time normalize on ac3.
that way it will be loud 🙂
(you can even over drive the audio and make it very very loud lol)
i never had any problems with ac3 before though and i have ffdshow installed.
guess it must have fucked up some how since im the only one having this problem 🙂
question about ac3 sound.
i use an onboard audio ad1985 and everytime i play dolby 5.1 / dts / thx sounds,
the subwoofer is very low volume. even if i turn its volume to max (both on
windows and the sub vol control), it still too low. i use vlc 0.8.5 with
standard codecs.
but, if i play a stereo track, the sub works loud. any hints ?
i thought on buying a sb audigy2 zs 7.1 and i even bought one once, but i read
on several forums that this card have a problem, it send a very low output to
the subwoofer. sure, they say: enable crossover to 15%, and set sub frequency to
120hz (windows and subwoofer). problem is in my sub, there is no way to set
anything but the volumes). my 5.1 system is analog only.
sorry if this is not the right place for this kind of post.
