you may just not have a fast enough computer to play it? (these 720p files need
crazy processor speed) i would ask if you had
played them before, but since you just got vlc player i'm guessing that you
hadn't tried playing them before?
i had the same problem. the decoder used in vlc for these files is very
processor intensive. i have since started using the coreavc codec in media
player classic, which works really smoothly even on my crappy laptop.
what do you mean by "crappy laptop"? mine is ok, it's a centrino 1.73 ghz,
and it will go fine for a minute, then skip, and go fine. so i would assume
that you probably need at least 2 ghz to play these... anyone had luck with
lower?
i have 3.0ghz pentium 4 processor(single) and it still stops time to time, i
am going to try install coreavc professional edition and see if that helps,
2 players for slower computer that i recommend (or fast comps too)
this version of tcpmp that seems to have coreavc built in
h**p://www.megaupload.com/?d=yrznileb (note: it can not do 5.1 spdif but only
stereo so get other player if you have 5.1 system)
and coreavc codec in media player classic
h**p://isohunt.com/download/18118224/ (coreavc 1.3.0.0 codec (torrent))
download media player classic, haali media splitter (and ac3filter if you dont
have it) from
free-codecs.com
