if your serious the hr stands for high/half resolution.
its arguable which one it is because calling it half resolution works when your
talking about 1080i sources cause it goes from 1920x1080 to 960x544 but mean
while by those standards 1280x720 would become 640x360 (almost 350mb rip res).
but then mean while 960x528 is nearly half the pixels of 1280x720.
i just call it 540p cause 960/16*9 = 540 (1280/16*9=720)
the difference is the 350mb rip is 352p video and 2ch mp3 audio
this 700mb rip is 540p video and 5.1 dolby digital audio
with hbo/showtime shows that have long run times like sopranos, rome its more for
the audio, but still better video quality then the 350mb just not as much of a
difference.
but with regular 42min shows like this the hr does have noticeably better
picture. 624x352 vs 960x528 resolution.
