kyra sedgewick and that damn fake-ass southern accent of hers annoys me to no
end. she doesn't even sound believable, she sounds like she's talking thru her
nose fer chrissakes. i have no clue why this show is so popular.
makes a change from really fake english accents on a load of
other shows
yeah - i finally got around to watching the last few episodes of lost the
other night. the occasional scenes they've done supposedly in london have
been hilarious. i kept expecting dick van dyke to pop in and start singing 😉
but back to the subject at hand :-
her accent and mannerisms i can live with - with a bit of willing suspension
of disbelief you can account for it as the the character deliberately playing
it up as a tactic.
but from a production point of view the thing that i find really jarring is
the sound mix/balance. the incedental/background music etc seem way to loud
compared to the voice track. i've seen caps from a variety of different
groups and in a variety of different formats with different sources and
encoding preferences, and it's always the same. i can only presume it's a
deliberate choice by the producers.
yeah the thing that annoys me about her accent is that it is very shrill more
than anything else but i think that was done on purpose. to go with her
crazyness.
i love this show. i love her accent, i love all the cast members, specialy her
boy friend hes funny. its a good mix of comedy and drama. very refreshing from
all those dark crime dramas. thats why i like bones allot 2. comedy mixed with
drama. just the way real life is. i also hope she makes 10 more seasons :-). the
writing and acting is very enjoyable. im glad the long wait is over and i can
finally watch new episode again.
searingly insightful. possibly the most intelligent and deeply
thought-provoking criticism i've read in my lifetime. based on this feedback
alone, i'm afraid i'll have to give this show a pass, despite its well-rounded
character development, top-notch acting, and above-average writing.
q's xtreme in-your-face all-capped multi-exclamation-pointed review has shown me
the light.
a possible solution to the problem of not liking any given aspect of this show
would to be not to download it nor watch it in any other format. i for one
consider it good entertainment not a course in reality tv at its best james
