the makers of wallace & gromit bring you this collection of animated film
shorts, which takes audio interviews of people on the street and uses them as
voice tracks for stop-motion animals. based on the hit british series of the
same name, creature comforts will be the first animated series on cbs in
thirteen years.

the british series began airing on cable network bbc america in december of
2005, introducing u.s. audiences to the annecy award-winning plasticine comedy.

cbs will initially air seven half-hour episodes for creature comforts.
airs next: cbs at monday 8:00 pm (30 min.)
status: new series premiered: june 4, 2007
show categories: animation, comedy

geez ayii, thats not a very helpful opinion. cbs knew it wasn't first rate
material so its in the bottom half of the season. it has some funny spots with
the occasional clever twist. for example, the opening is a guy blathering on
about a wine he just tasted ("bright and full-bodied, a hint of yadda yadda");
they animated it as a dog sniffing another dog's butt.

sorry, my original post that had more detail didn't make it onto the board and
rather than retyping it thought i would give a quick "yea" or "na" response. it
wasn't intended to be an in depth critique, it was just me expressing my
disappointment with the show, considering it's from aardman animations. the best
bit was the beginning with the wine tasting audio, but even that i didn't find
that funny (then again, i didn't watch the full episode, only the first 10
minutes). nothing wrong if other people do, just not for me.

this is 100% american. i didn\'t know there was a british series in 2003, i only
know the original short film and the \'electric\' commercials that were on one
aardman dvd. is that 2003 thing worth a shot?

i guess this here is not entirely my cup of tea. ...i\'m not so sure if that deal
with dreamworks (was it?) was such a good thing for aardman after all... i hate
the fact that they use computers now and no longer clay - that was the main
thing that made aardman unique, imho.

the british series is brilliant - each episode is only 10 minutes, so it doesn't
have time to get old.

one of the main attractions of the british series is all the varying accents.

*snooze*

its like no one in american tv has any decent ideas at all.

i thought this was good. it would be better in 10 minute episodes. but still
very good. i don't understand how people can compare it to reality tv, and
claim it's unoriginal.

how can you not dig the pandas? 🙂

it this at all bearable with grating american accents?

the british version was sensational - hopefully this is much better than the
poor attempt at the office remake.

oh please! can't one of those f*cking crazy americans just walk
into some
producers/tv-hot-shot building and shoot them for showing reruns and
cancelling good shows etc? instead of walking into schools etc and shooting
innocents?

heheheh - gold.

i second your wonderful notion.

you guys are too funny.
i've seen the british version and enjoyed it and wasn't sure if i was going to
like this american version or not but the wife and i enjoyed it quite a lot.
it's one of those shows where you have to like animals, listening to public
radio (cause of the interviews), or be a kid to get into it. the americans
accents do vary since it seems they interviewed people from different regions.
aside from it being an american version its pretty much a carbon copy of the
brit show.
