this is the story of sam sullivan, the youngest executive at the corporate
headquarters of a major airline. his boss russ is a lunatic and his coworker
meryl, a 40-something sexpot, is continuously making sexual advances towards
him.
as sam tries to find a way to cope with the demands of his career, the social
demands of his crazy roommates get in the way. he lives with his brother
sully, his college buddy piper (who he secretly has a crush on) and lizzy, the
sexy bartender at their local hangout.
through the pressures of work and the craziness of his home life, sam's life
is the subject of a pretty wild sitcom.
i liked the first "version". they changed the show way too much. piper and
lizzy's characters are gone, new characters came in with no introduction at all
(where did the secretary come from and since when did sam's assistant give a shit?
hope y'all know fox canceled this back during the upfronts in may. renewed it
for a second season, only to cancel it before it even returns. series finale
will air on july 1st.
that's why fox ramped it up to burn off the final 10 episodes - its over, so
they want it outta the way.
shame - great show, really enjoyed the first season.
these two episodes were great! i'm surprised by how much the show improved since
its first season, which only got good at the end. getting rid of the two girls
was the best thing the show could do. they were useless and boring. and still,
the stuff with his brother is the weakest part of the show. it's much better as
an office comedy.

too bad it's cancelled. ☹️
i'll have to dissagree... i think the funnyest moments are with sully,
especially where he eats a lightbulb "60 watts in my belly!"
