i thought it was a little weird that the new doctor was hardly moved at all by rose's death. i figured that in her new body the doctor would still have feelings for rose. oh well, seems to be all about the doctor (eve myles) and captain jack (john barrowman) next season. too bad about freema agyeman, i guess. i liked the cut of her jib. |

when they pull such magic out of nowhere it makes you wonder why they keep the writers of all the utterly bollicks episodes on board. i've been on the brink of giving up on dr. who after this season. this episode was thoroughly brillant from beginning to end. the villians were so creepy... i'll never look at those the same again. hope they give the writer(s) of this episode more work! |

out of the new dr who episodes.... if it's a good one, then steve moffat wrote it. they should definitly give the series over to him when the the other lot leave. this episode was pure genius. loved it. there was some much tension towards the end.... and it was creepy as hell. |

i find that a full res (720x576) version which has been compressed down to 350mb even with x264 tends to get very blocky video on fast action the audio bitrate has to be restricted quite a bit to fit that audio/ video into 350mb. a better compromise wiuld be to reduce the resolution a wee bit and up the bit rate. there are some available that have done that, the disadvantage is the size isn't as predictable and the eps that i have seen in h264 at 854x480 are a lot better quality but the sizes vary between 400 and 490mb. (and they are true mp4 not avi) m |
