am i the only one that couldn't help but think something totally non-pc about
the lesbians?

i mean, the cute legal assistant basically said she likes masculine traits, and
the butchy dyke even looks like a guy (physically and even in a lot of ways
behaviourally). is it so far fetched a thought to think the legal asst could
switch teams? lord knows we could always use better genes infused into the
collective breeding pool and it just seems like such a shame that
(statistically) her portion of the genetic pie will never propogate past her
gifted acgt tree :/

i happen to have several lesbian friends and i tend to chide them a great deal
about switching teams and i'm convinced that there's just as much chance that
they will never switch teams as they can switch teams (i personally know 2 which
have done so). it all depends on how much they believe in the nature vs nurture
theory (ie. how much they believe that being gay/lesbian is genetic vs
societal). in the case of the cute legal asst, it's clear she could most
definitely switch teams, primarily because she's been programmed to be capable
of living a hetero lifestyle. whether she ever does or not is irrelevant, it's
clear that she's capable of it (her dress/personal presentation, her demeanor,
even her behaviour).

obviously, having only been given a glimpse of someone's personality (especially
one that is passed through a perception prism that is television) is no
definitive evidence of anything, but one can't help but see familiar markers
when they're presented before them.

she just needs a good man to set her straight 😉

oh and another great episode of bullshit.

skepticism is good. but do your own research - don't stop with what penn and
teller espouse. for example, though they picked a popular hybrid car for their
test drive, they picked one of the worst of the breed. also, they didn't do a
two way trip (to null out road grade effects), check windspeed, or test in town
(where hybrids excel in fuel efficiency). they didn't "full disclosure" these
facts, either.

the honda insight, a seven-year old car, gets 100mpg for two-way trips from san
jose to santa cruz (over the fucking mountains), and it has outstanding get-out-
of-trouble acceleration.

so the show itself is, as they defend it, "bullshit" - their cop-out, not mine.
but it's entertaining, and it has tits.

i think they tested the prius because it's the most popular "green" car. there are tons of people driving
that pos around thinking they're saving the world. i'm all for more fuel efficiency, but the prius is really
nothing special, it just gives people a false sense of doing something environmentally sound.

anyone find a torrent for this weeks episode (may 24, 2007) - anger management?
