if it were to go up in size it would be 700mb, scene standards.

i doubt there will be any loss in quality.

penn and teller's bs is 230mb it's not 350 or 700. why does everything have to
be 350 or 700? wouldn't there be a standard bit rate that would determine the size?

yeah - top gear (since it's 60mins rather than ~42 of most shows) used to be
released in 425mb rips.... but even they didn't comply to the scene rules.

most eps of the sopranos and other hbo shows are longer than standard shows.
entourage often gets released at 230mb, but the ~55min shows are still only 350mb :/

i'm not 100% sure how it works, but:

21 minutes - 175mb
29 minutes - 233mb
42 minutes - 350mb
60+ mins - 700mb

i don't think so... tudors and rome are close to 60 minutes and are still packed
in 350 mb. they look very good too, so i'm happy with 350, i hate when it's 700,
takes so long...

it doesn't have to be a larger file.
i remember heroes' pilot being longer than the rest of the episodes but it was
still 350 mb, and there was no loss in quality.
plus, this is a repack. if there were mistakes isn't this supposed to fix it?

i think it's a judgement call on what size it is, but they don't appear to support sizes in between 350 -
700mb.

if i recorded a show approx. 60 mins long with lots of action, fight scenes, dark (possibly night) scenes, i'd
probably want to bump up the size to keep up the quality, but with a show like grey's, it's pretty well lit
etc, so they're probably good to stay static. as for heroes, i can't comment on that....

if i recorded a show, it would be in uncompressed transport stream at whatever
bitrate the hd feed is sent in. all y'all saying quality doesn't matter, quiet.
get the 700mb release... or the 720p release. that's the only way to watch
grey's anatomy.
