sorry did i read the post right..
is there going to be an update with (xvid) v2.0 ?.
i will go and have a look around.
let us know if (xvid) is getting a makeover or is it just the next update with
very little updated.
im not well up on codecs but as i siad i will have a look around.
wheres the best place to find info about a new version of (xvid).
i would go to (divx.com) for info on the new (divx v6.6) wich i got the other
day.
bye for now (si)(uk) :-)

not to advertise another website, but the hdtv is available on
mininova.org
it's available here too ... has been for some time. some of us are looking for
the hr version.
this nbs 720p release reportedly has "audio.glitches.at.16m.48s.and.28m.55s".
perfectionists should perhaps look for heroes.s01e21.internal.720p.hdtv.x264-ctu
... i'll keep waiting for the hr (which is playable with xbmc for me).
thanks eztv.

i noticed the first one, not the second. this is a very, very minimal error.

i wonder what would the quality be if they just use xvid but then also in the
resolution for 720 and then also the same size 1.1gb.
instead of the hr files now that are =/-530 (and the none hr +/-330)

yeah yeah, all nice and slick, but where's my freckin hr version? boooh 720p. i
like it for movies, when a whole movie fits on a a dvd, but for a series it's
just... forget it, do what you want, but give me my hr version :-d

"i wonder what would the quality be if they just use xvid but then also in the

half the quality at 720p so take a 360p file then zoom it to 720p. then look at
how blocky the picture is. its rubbish.

why would that happen?
even hr isn't half the quality of the 720p versions. and if you up the
resolution of a xvid even more and allow it to be 60% bigger in file size. then
i think with the same video input it will be pretty close.

a 720p rip has 921600 pixels while a hr release has 518400 pixels. that's
roughly twice the size. even doubling the filesize of a hr to 1400mb wouldnt
get the same results since the x264 codec is much more efficient then
xvid/divx. that is also why it takes faster cpu's tp properly play them.
the hr release of yesterdays episode was just released by nbs 30 minutes ago.
thats why it couldnt be found anywhere on the net yet. hope it appears here
soon.

this nbs rls sucks so much i wish eztv put some more effort into upping
checked unnuked torrents. this was a real loss of bandwidth for me ;( i don't
know exactly how many glitches there were in this damn nbs release (i watched
the standard 350 mb rls...), but at least one audio glitch and some video is
missing at 34:18. hope the ctu rls is perfect if you're looking for it (as i
was), go visit piratebay...

but normal vista.. basic, premium, business whatever?
it's no more stable than winxp, nor is it faster, nor is it more resource
efficient.
ofcourse the themes are really pretty :s and well it's new (oh yeah)
go with the flow, follow the rage, be up to date.
vista ultimate is well worth it, everything loads up quicker, look better, boot
up times are waaaaay faster, i've had no compatibility issues except atitool,
which is expected.
