'thanks from this corner
of the earth'... does anybody really give a damn??... i come to these boards to
check on quality issues etc... and when i want to engage in discussion of said
show, or how damn grateful i am that can download it, i go to the appropriate
message board... simple really

well, last time i checked, there weren't any rules that
prohibited anyone from
stating their home country and give thanks for something. but hey, there also
weren't any against complaints such as yours. but, look at this this way: if
you guys think that saying "thanks from [insert country here]" is a waste of
space, your replies are what? a bright, new light, that will be cast upon us
sinners and open our eyes, showing us the error of our ways and promising never
to state where we hail from????
it's a pointless little trend that started at places like torrentspy etc, it's
less about praise and more about tagging, the need to leave a mark somewhere
that means nothing and contributes even less.
the true tragedy is many people pop into these comments threads and think that
because 50 people are saying "thank you", they must have actually watched the
content and know it's good.
it's a betrayal to the community to clutter up the comments section with thanks
that have no meaning or real substance behind them.
on the other hand if you had downloaded it, watched it, know it was good (or
even bad), and then gave thanks, it then suddenly means something, and at the
same time contributes to the community.
funny how that works right?, meaningly praise, verses praise with maybe an
extra two words that actually matter...
nnnaaaaahhheeeeeerrrrrrrddddddddddddd !!!
stop spamming the comments you bastard, its giving all the people who just want
to know about the show a headache.
thanks from swan stout.

and where do you think the info on the nuke sites filters
down from?, people
post relevant feedback, word gets around and then finally back to the nuke/nfo
sites.
often a file is declared nuked directly at places like this, long before they
make the nuked list on other sites.
in case you don't know, it doesn't matter if the file is declared bad in places
like these. what matters is who says that. and believe me, those persons don't
usually annouce that info here, they prefer to do it in the proper places
(nforce, swedupe, vcdquality and so on).
Quote by thebishop74
lately i have seen several comments sections here fill the
first three to five
pages with rubbish, before someone actually gets in and declares a file may be
nuked, and as a result the file often stays as the 'only' flawed source
available.
well, i can understand what you're saying, don't take me wrong. but there's a
much better way of finding out if a file is bad: there will appear a proper
later on...
Quote by thebishop74
it's damn near impossible to find a nuked warning at sites
like torrentspy now,
most threads there now run a good 10 pages of bs before anyone bothers to watch
the file and give feedback, do you really want eztv to turn into that?
well, i never go to torrentspy for my nuking needs so... and i find hard to
believe that a page full of people saying thanks for something, showing their
appreciation, is bs.

and yes, we get it, your trying to be a smart ass, which i
know is fun, but in
terms of levels in meaningless content, your leading the way by trying to start
a pointless tit for tat, on top of already borderline point making, that should
have been left at just a few succinct comments.
if you want to push that level of pointlessness, just keep on posting empty
quips, as each one makes you more a hypocrite on your own mini sarcastic
crusade...
sorry, who is trying to be a smart ass? not me, that's for sure. or there has
to be a "smart ass" in every discussion?! but you know what's funny: how come
that, in every discussion about anything at all, whenever someone can't present
valid arguments, they end up calling names, trying to offend the others?
interesting don't you think?... but i digress...
even more, i'm not leading anything. someone stated something, i replied. that
person presented her "case", i presented mine. you decided to intervene, no one
made you do it, you did it on your own. so why are you saying that this
whole "point making", as you call it, is only my fault? or didn't you also
provided with a couple of points on your own?!

yes,
thanx from the states...
the doctor is the only good thing to come along in ages,
bbc america f i n a l l y figger'd out there's a market here
(but they've only finished s1)
...
many of the old doctors were aired by our pbs,
but when the new dw s1 come along
no one was going to broadcast it here,
not pbs nor bbc-am
...
so, it is estimated 1.5 million (probably more) of us learned bt! me included!
just to see rose and the doctor.
.
so many thanks to the doctor for opening up the world for so many of us.
(not to mention the universe and all of time!).
...
peace,
actually! the scifi channel plays (or played?) dr who shortly after it airs on bbc. if memory serves me
correct if its behind at all only by a few weeks. scifi has been showing the new dr who's since season
1.

no hd rip, as doctor who is not shot in hd, just sd or what some call
widescreen pdtv, bbc does have a hd channel, but even if it was shown on the hd
channel, it would be an upscaled version, so still not a true hd source.
there may still be some 700mb rips out there though if your after better
quality, which probably will look better, anytime you have less xvid
compression, it's going to look better, but i don't know who does 700mb encodes
of dr who rips, i have yet to see any.
