is it possible to watch this on a dvd player? if so, how?

to watch this on dvd player, your dvd must read *.avi, so, is just you burm lost
in dvd and enjoy.. i think u can tu use a software like winavi to tranform *.avi
in dvd, this process can take a few hours... try make a fast search in google...

so is there no way to just burn the video file to a blank dvd, put it in a
player and play it?

if you burn the file directly, it will only work if you have a standalone divx
player, otherwise you wil have to convert it as mentioned above.

if you try playing your avi file in a dvd player it will simply say there is an
unknown file format.

either google search or look on snarf-it.org for a good video converter.

it played this time on my sony standalone player.after all my moaning i thought
you would all like to know its fixed no problems .hurray.

with regards to that dvd player - the philips dvp5960 - i presume it plays xvid
files aswell ( ie those that one would download from here )? do you just burn
the files you want to watch directly onto the dvd and then put into the player
or do you put them in folders etc ?
