i think they ran out of real bullshit issues somewhere in the second season,
but at least they're still entertaining.
i mean, in the old times if a lawyer presented himself as an expert in some
unrelated field, they'd make fun of him. unless i misheard, not so in this ep.
why not call in the feng-shui chicks too while they're at it? i'm sure they'd
be happy to explain how obesity isn't a problem as long as you sleep on a curry-
line, or something.
that would be penn. i think i heard him say about that on his radio
show/podcast.... he's stopped doing that know though, the radio show that is. ☹️
one or two the episodes this season i thought were good things to be bitching
about. can't remember what they were though, they will come in due course.
this one was a bit lame. who really cares about bmi and those people who try and
sell crappy drugs? even me, being a fatty, don't really care what they do.
it's not something to "perk the angry". they need to maybe revisit some older
ones. or maybe do stuff about internet downloading and p2p of music/tv and
film.... but i guess that might be a bit too close to showtime's legal department.
could not agree more sarre. they have run out of topics.
bmi might be bullshit... but they are trying to make it look like being
overweight carries no health issues at all. there's a difference between the
slight overweight that a lot of people are and those people they showed eating
small children at their "obesity picnic". when your so fat your legs start
giving way... saying that the world's view on fat people is the problem ain't
gonna help.
this episode was pure bullshit because they put those extremely large people in
the same category as the slightly overweight people. that is just stupid.
the show is good, entertaining and funny. although they make very good points
about citain subjects such as obeasity and creationism. i mean som people will
have blind faith in anything and blame fatness on anything but the truth and
penn and teller put it too them...
gun control was their best, i think. i can't remember... did they do abortion?
if not, they should and refer to steven d. levitt's "freakonomics" about how
legalising abortion in the us saved them from the crime wave building up to the
90's.
