CBS Has Officially Ordered a How I Met Your Mother Spin-off Pilot Called How I Met Your Dad

sounds like a horrible idea. i do still like himym but i'm sooooo sick of ted's pining after robin.
just want it to finish so i can look back fondly.

i agree, worst idea ever. himym quality this season have been questionable to be generous, so let's just
finish and be done.

yeah no thanks. sorry this show was good until all the "robin, robin, robin" episodes and now its
just....finish the story so the kids can leave your living room narrator....bob saggot? saggat?

stopped watching it in the middle of last season (did watch the finale to finally see that "mother" they are
going on about...), because the show was just coasting on the same jokes and the loyalty of the fans.
making a spin-off sounds like a very bad idea, so just don't ok?

drone on for years about the things leading up to her meeting ted?

as you mentioned, a lot of people are watching the last season of himym out of respect and love for the
characters...

but the way they keep the ninth season going and going... and now we actually know that ted will meet
"the mom" after the wedding, meaning all this season is for nothing. lilys and marshalls wedding was
1,5 episodes or something like that... barneys and robins is a complete season. lame. as. fck. it states
that we wont get to see any of ted and his wife to be. which in my opinion is sad. ☹️

totally unrelated to himym. different person entirely, one that is not the mother.

i might be in for this if it's the same universe, told from the mother's perspective. it would amount to
almost the same thing, since you can't have "the gang" involved, other than maybe seeing them in the
background a few times.

well, i think i'll pass either way.

same universe? anyone really wanna sit through another multi-season game of "...have you met ted?"

the only way i would continue with this show, well 2 ways:
1) give us at least half a season of ted & the mother together.
2) reveal that "robin scherbatsky" and "barney stinson" are just cover identities for maria hill,
and dr.horrible

and anyone who wants to write that fanfic, go right ahead.

this must be the pinnacle of creativity in tv show naming ...

only thing about this article that got me excited, was reading that this is the final season.

use to love the series, but the constant whining of ted, the constant pining for robyn, and how off-track
the series became makes me glad that it's ending.

instead of a series called how i met your dad, i'd rather see a series about how ted finally grows a pair.

noody is watching this crap because of loyalty or because its good. we are all watching the crap
because we wasted too much time now to stop watching himym. we just want to see it end finally.
