may i ask why we have two releases of this show here? is this verion better
than the previous release?

this one is hdtv so it is of better quality than the pdtv release. there will
probably be a hr hdtv release which is of even better quality but will be 700mb.

this might be a silly question, but how come they both are the same size, if one
of them is better quality? (why upload lesser quality if its the same size as
better quality?)

the difference in quality is not in the encoding methods but in the source video.
hdtv is a higher quality digital source than pdtv. although when encoding down
to 350mb xvid video is roughly the same process, the difference of quality due
to the source material still has a noticeable impact in the end result.

i don't want to sound ungreatful, but seeing as their both the same filesize,
they come from a broadcast that goes out at exactly the same time, and this
ones clearly better quality, what is the point in the 350meg pdtv capture?

the point is that it's released by a different group and their release time was
2 hours 11 minutes faster... some people don't want to wait for better quality
and want to see episode right away... in the end, it's all about individual
preference and i guess for some it's nice to have options...

jepp, thats exactly right 🙂 i couldnt wait another hour if i knew the epiode is
already out there *g* im downloading both version, one to get my instant
stargate-fix, and the other one so i can watch the ep again and again and
again... until i buy the season-dvd, then ill stick to that.

the only sad thing is that the hr-hdtv versions are far better then the ones you
can buy on dvd. there should be something done about that. i hope stargate
hd-dvd's are in the making.

for some of us on virgin media eztv has become a life line to decent tv, nice
site! i ain't switching to sky just because they remove sky one, screw them when
i can download it for free on virgin media 10mb broadband?

anyways the stats page reporting 1001 seeds today, is being reported completely
inacuratly, i am in a pool of 16 out of a 25 swarm with a total of 75 seeds..not
all of which are connectable...making me think the true total is around 25 not 75.
