hbo has decided to not renew the low-rated comedy-drama for a third season. mike white created and
wrote the series, which starred laura dern as woman trying to get her life together. the show was
axed despite the show's first season earning some love from the golden globes, with dern winning the
best comedy actress award for her performance and the show receiving a nomination for best comedy
series.

"it was a very difficult decision," said hbo in a statement. "we're proud of the show and we look
forward to working with mike white and laura dern in the future."

personally, i enjoyed the series and recommend watching it, if you haven't already.

i can hardly say i'm surprised that it has been cancelled.

i'm not surprised either, and i'm glad they eneded it, rather
than trying to do another season. the way it ended felt right,
a good place to stop. i will remember it as a quirky show that i
really enjoyed watching. two seasons was just right. imo.


p.s. i also hope to hear from people who liked, and not just
the regulars who dislike 90% of all tv shows and almost never
have anything good to say about any show. especially those
who shit talk shows they have not even watched.

yes, i have to agree: i am not surprised either.

to those who haven't watched the show yet, go ahead and do so. the end of season 2 is a very good way
to end the series.

yeah i admit i wasn't a great fan, i watch a few ep's but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

good thing is there are fair few shows i am really enjoying at the moment.

i have not seen it yet. but based on a couple of fresh air interviews i've been meaning to check it
out. from the clips i've heard and discussions of the characters it sounds hilarious.
