it\\\'s the last of this season, but a season is called a
series in british english.
in the uk a lot of programs consist of just 6
episodes per series/season. some programs can have just 1 series broadcast in a
year, where as others like topgear can have 2 or 3 per year.
actually top gear airs twice a year, two seasons(series), and typically in the
past has had 10 episodes per season, so 20 episodes total in a year. this
current season/series was cut short due to hammonds accident. the season/series
was slated to start at the end of december 2006. also for a while now the bbc
has been trying to cancel the show but the huge popularity of the show has
dwarfed any action by the bbc.
yes this was the last episode in the series. jeremy said the series would be
back in the summer (uk). i watched this episode last night as it aired, great
laugh and one of the best and funniest i've seen. well worth the d/l.
well done to jeremy, richard, and james. i will be counting the weeks until the
next series (10) sometime in the summer.
if like me, you want to keep the topgear series on disc (back-up) i use the
following software to make a high quality copy to dvd.
1. winavivideo converter v7.7: (file format avi (700mb approx) to dvd (2.97gb
approx))
2. dvdfab platinum v3.0.7.0: (burn dvd file to dvd disc (1))
if anyone wants links (only) to obtain this software (free), someone shout-up
and i will post the external links here. these files are hosted by rapidshare.com.
for those that are fan's of topgear and/or fifth gear and have not visisted this
site before, i suggest you do for loads of info, etc.
