january 25, 2013 -- reunion pictures, in association with shaw media, recently announced that
production has started on season 2 of the hit showcase show "continuum." season 2 is slated to
premiere in canada on shaw media's specialty channel showcase in april 2013.

in season 1 kiera cameron (played by rachel nichols), a cop from the year 2077 found herself
trapped in present-day vancouver, searching for convicted terrorists from the future, known as liber8.
with unexpected assistance from teen tech genius alec sadler (erik knudsen), kiera desperately tried
to bring down the terrorists before they changed the course of history forever. in season 2 kiera
continues her uneasy alliance with her partner, vancouver police detective carlos fonnegra (victor
webster) and grapples with the big question that closed the first season - why was i sent
here? while alec struggles to understand the implications of the mysterious message he received from
his future self in last season's finale, the liber8 terrorists become more strategic, although just as lethal.

"season 2 will see kiera pitted against liber8 while trying to find a way back to 2077," said
creator/executive producer simon barry, "this season will feature the best elements of season 1 in
addition to some new characters and storylines that expand the universe of continuum."

good news can't wait for it to start back up! i really enjoyed continuum season 1. plus the main
girl is fuckin smoking hot imo!

it is good to have a moderator that actually takes the time to take part in the goings on of the site. i

mediocre science fiction not produced by syfy = chance to redeem itself.

i thought season 1 was pretty unengaging. something about it just felt forced to me, like the
characters' actions were not proportional to their motivations. it felt like the writers have a great
idea for a twisty-turny time-loop/conspiracy story they want to tell, and the characters are only
there to advance the plot. give the characters something! not just all business all the time. witty
banter, good moods, silly moods, mannerisms. play them off each other. that to me has always
been the difference between "good enough to watch scifi" and epic scifi. but the 1st season of tng
was a bit thin, too, so i'll give continuum a chance to redeem itself.
