this is rather sad...this along with borealis are both series i started watching worrying they'd get
cancelled (along with a few others that are still safe atm)...it's really sad when good tv gets
cancelled but at least this and that were quick about it...nothing worse that investing time in a
series to have it end on a cliffhanger with no hope of it being tied up.

man... why even make a new show if you only give it two episodes to gain an audience?

it seems fucking retarded, but then again so does the rest of corporate america

i figured the show would at least make it 8-10 episodes before being considered for cancelation.
some of the decisions by the main character seemed dumb. for example others know of his condition but
he doesn't tell the neurologist lady that he likes even though he scared her, works with her, likes her and
she could be apart of his 'team' helping to get it under control.
there is also the issue they never address that the human body still needs sleep. it can't keep running
24hrs a day even if it is time shared between two identities.

but between the two episodes and the "next week" preview you could see they were going for the idea that
each identity will need to accept protecting the other identity in order to protect itself. some measure of
acceptance of those traits they don't want to accept.

makes me wonder if they were asked to close down the show because it looked like a "do it yourself, how
to manual" for criminals looking to create an insanity plea.

this just creates a bigger "ratings nightmare" issue. it lets audiences know there is no point getting
involved in a show until it survives the first 10 episodes. if it does, download 1-10 to get caught up (or
stream them from the network web site) and continue watching from then forward. -- but if everyone is
doing that, then the first 10 episodes of anything are going to get horrible ratings. thus most shows will be
destined to die on day 1.

i don't think that this was a completely horrible premise for "motion picture entertainment" - i
think it could have played out well as a film (movie, major motion picture) or a mini series -
something with a well defined "end".

as it is now, you have a character with a pretty severe, non-sustainable problem. even if the
writers could manage to keep him with this problem for the first 13 episodes, and end the season on
a cliffhanger, how would you be able to justify a full second season without somehow curing him?

you are trying to turn jekyll and hyde into a tv show, and i for one think the story always needs a
definitive end, or you allow hyde to take over and just rampage.
