im assuming this is the same as the prerelease that was posted before? can anyone note any
differences? oh well, im gonna download the prerelease anyway.

i was assuming the same as you, in fact i passed on this one... thanks for the edit, now i'm eager to
watch it.

to help alleviate the confusion between the pilot episode and subsequent first episode,
i have amended the show information page as follows...

1x00 -- apr 12, 2012 -- pilot -- ricky gervais writes, directs and stars in this one-off comedy
drama pilot about a group of people on society's margins. the pilot was produced by derek productions
ltd. for channel 4, who aired it on 12 april 2012. gervais has said he is "slowly writing a full series", if
the show was to be picked up.

1x01 -- jan 30, 2013 -- new episode -- broadhill retirement home faces closure following a visit
from the council. hannah, the home's manager attempts to rally troops including best mates derek,
dougie and kev, and together they set to work raising their own funds for the home.

i watched it and thought it was utter rubbish about as funny as catching an incurable disease

then you'll probably be better off with a 'gag-a-minute' american sitcom with a studio laughter track.
derek requires you to think about it to find the humour, and its just as likely to make you cry. so its
not for you.
