different tastes i expect. i did not like the british version much. for me it is very much about the cases
and the relationship between holmes and watson. i find it very interesting. i am not a fan of liu but she
does a very good job of it in this role. miller is excellent as the tortured flawed investigator. i hope he gets
an award out of this.

thanks 1.54x to a quality uler and those who seed.
haven't seen the uk original to compare.
while the us version does have a holmes-watson side story, at least they have only toyed with the
sexual tension and haven't consummated the would-be demise of their antagonistic, but symbiotic,
relationship. he's a tragic "house"-like teacher. she's much like house's hospital residents:
brilliant students of life and whatever thrill ride our protagonist is running.
looking forward to next week.

thanks as ever for the information, boonesferry.

and arrgh to the schedulers who thought it'd be a great idea to come back from the christmas break,
have two episodes, and then disappear again. wouldn't want to get people in the habit of actually
watching the show, i guess...
