primeval: new world is a canadian science fiction television programme, set in vancouver, british
columbia, created by judith and garfield reeves-stevens. a co-production between impossible pictures
and omni film productions for space, the show is a spin-off of the british series primeval. it will
be broadcast on space in canada, and on watch in the united kingdom. as with primeval, the premise
of primeval: new world involves a team of scientists who have to deal with animals from the past and
future that travel through time to the present day through anomalies

ok, a canadianization of primeval, but as a spin-off. that might work. it's what they should've done
with being human and life on mars...

i'll report back after i watch it.

edit: after an inspection i see it has that chick who died in vamp dairies and that annoying guy
from eureka in it...god save us...

it was ok... basically more primeval. connor has a cameo. the meta story might be a bit thin, with
the main guy trying to find more out about the anomalies and arc. which i find rather silly. the
anomalies always seemed to be a global thing in primeval, so i would have expected the uk to set
stuff up in the commonwealth governments.

i'll probably watch it as casual pap, since i already know primeval. better than being annoyed with
revolution.

no hannah spearitt (and hannah spearitt dancing around in her underwear)? maybe not.

will this be another fluff up?, can the writers make this as good as the british t.v show?, only tome will tell!

is it worth watching this without having watched the first primeval series?

thought it was an ok / average start to a series.

but i'll give the benefit of the doubt since it's more aimed at new us/canadian audience rather than
the established uk base.

think the reasoning behind only the uk getting anomalies was that they were attracted to the big
device conner created with alexander siddig character. (bit of a paradoxical wibbly wobbly time
wimey thing going on!) and when that caused anomalies to open everywhere that's when they started
popping up in canada.

the guy from eureka's character did say they started to pop up 2 years ago(?!) that's right around
the time of the big anomaly generator going haywire.

just want to see how amanda tapping does directing a few episodes.

you're probably better off watching this without seeing the original uk series.

uk version was the worst piece of garbage ive ever seen within the scifi genre
would peps plz rate this new version? i got a very limited connection so cant dl everything on a whim

i really enjoyed the first episode and liked the casting, especially niall matter (zane from eureka).

it's one of the rare times the us (sorry, canadians in this case) have done a better job with the
show. i didn't like the uk version at all.

i concur. i loved the idea, but execution of said idea was so bad, i almost drank bleach to erase it
from my mind. this one is ...still pretty bad, "acting" is not even highschool level, but nowhere
near as bad as uk one was. i dont think the original had even one likeable character (connor was
cute, but at the same time very cringe-worthy), and its attempts at drama and romance left me just
losing all hope in uk television's future.

honestly i didn't notice any difference at all in the acting still terrible good idea just needs a
different angle i would thought with different people doing it i might have come up with a better
result but the storylines are basically the same just the locations of different my opinion only..

with the original primeval being pretty bad this show has no place to go but up it seems.

though there was some endearing quality to the characters of the original series : the bad writing of the
lead cast was something legendary that made the characters likeable that way as it grows on you.
