57 min long as it was aired on the bbc and they have no advertising (well
other than advertising their own programmes, but not ads mid programme). just
shows how much ad time actually goes into an hour show, the usual length is 42

i think he was
referencing hbo shows, such as season/series finales, that typically run longer
than 50 minutes and are still squeezed into 350mb.

the difference in quality at this level doesn't warrant the excess file size anyway.

life on mars has always been 700mb. you can reencode it but will loose quality.

hugely appreciated. thanks! and pay no mind to all this nonsense about smaller
file sizes. i've yet to see a programme of this length of only 350mb that's
decent quality.
