this is going to sound stupid but ive never heard hr before does it stand for
high resolution or something... will i still be able to watch it on my
computer?
there are the standard 350mb releaes, which are usually 624x352 or 608x336.
there are the hr.hdtv releases, which are 700mb and usually 960x528~.
then there are the full blown 720p releases which are 1280x720.
as you can imagine, the visual quality increases each step. the hr should play
fine on your computer unless it's really old.
you have to weigh up how much you value the visual quality against the file
size. if you're watching it on a fairly crap tv/monitor then the 350 is
probably fine but anything decent and you will probably really enjoy the
quality of the hr/720p.
personally i love the quality of the hr but i don't think a lot of my friends
who i give the shows to actually notice the difference.
whenever i download a hr version, it won't play with sound. the picture is
fine, it's just that the sound is missing. i use divx player. is there anything
i should or shouldn't be doing to make the sound play?
good to know that there is a lot of difference between the hr and 720p version.
one more question... i downloaded the 720p version...
if i burn it to dvd disk and play it on my full hd tv with a divx compatible
dvd.. will it play better than if i just use my laptop and play it using the
pc-input?
