Perception 1x06 (HDTV-x264-LOL)

you say there was a break but ep 6 has been widely available for a week. is this a situation where
it is airing in canada or another country without the scheduled us break?

to the best of my knowledge, after checking many resources, s01e06 did not broadcast on network
television anywhere prior to last night, and the first available, non-web rip, regular scene release was
last ngiht, aug 20th, 2012.

the early releases of s01e06 that appeared on tpb and other torrent sites last week around the 15th &
16th were web-dl. eztv very rarely distributes web-dl or webrip. if you go back and look at the
torrent sites that offered s01e06 web-dl last week, what you will see this week is more of s01e06,
except this time they are regular scene release by dimension (720) and lol (sd).

with web-dl there is no agreed upon standards, therefor the quality varies greatly. sometimes the
quality is pretty awesome, yet other times it is absolute crap. when a web-dl is available before the
show's regularly scheduled television broadcast date it's usually some kind of promo to draw people to
their website or a special advertising deal between the network and another company, often itunes.

i just read the nfo file on one of the web-dl versions on tpb and it says, "itunestv".
yup, from time to time itunes makes special arrangements to be the first to release a new song, a new
album, and sometimes a tv show.

monday, aug 13, 2012, was the night they aired the series final of "the closer" and the first episode of
the spin-off "major crimes", back to back. that is why "perception" skipped a week.

thanks for the info. i am in asia so i just knew perception comes out around the beginning of the
week and i had ep 6 already.
i just recalled from few experiences shows were somehow getting shown in canada and australia and
turning up as torrents before the us broadcast, because a us holiday would delay the broadcast to
the next week and then the rest of the season would be week or more behind.
