though i think i'll like it more once scifi finally get around to airing the
pilot and some things that have been bugging me make sense. stupidest decision
ever to not air the pilot first.

what!!!
so the first episode we saw wasn't the pilot?
man, i hate it when they do that.

the pilot is going to air as ep 6, storm front.
i hate that they did that, completely stupid.
there were a few things in the first aired episode that make no sense because it
was aired out of order. like mention of the high council, and the fact none of
the characters were introduced!
i wonder if the character that was killed in the first ep suddenly reappears in
episode 6... because even though she was never introduced to us, she seemed like
an important character in harry's life and she had some kind of ability that was
never explained... as if we should have known what it was already. i imagine she
would have been introduced in the pilot. how are scifi doing to cover that up?
dumb asses.

several of the scenes shown in the first one were actually cut from what was the
original pilot... the flashbacks etc. and the episode that was the pilot has
been edited to fit.
in the first episode there are few references to the high council in the
flashbacks and in the story which they don't explain but they don't explain it
all in the pilot either.... the concept of revealing information over a number
of episodes is nothing new and certainly nothing to get your panties bunched
about. keep watching and you'll learn more each episode.
the woman was unimportant, just a "clerk" for the high council who harry knew
and he got her to look up some information (which she did psychically instead of
flicking through paper files). the episode was quite clear.
and some of the other things that were mentioned in the first episode have
already had more information added to in the last few episodes... you seem to
have trouble paying attention and wanted everything spelt out in the first
episode instead of putting 2 and 2 together yourself over a few episodes - this
actually seems to be a common attitude lately. (the answer would be 4 in case
you were having trouble with that).

the info on the flashback being from the pilot is interesting, thanks for the info.
who said anything about panty bunching? your arrogant attitude is uncalled for.
i am quite aware of revealing informating over a number of episodes, even fond
of it you might say. i\'m an avid fan of lost after all.
however, the first episode aired was not the intended pilot. and regardless of
how it was edited to fit, it still felt wrong, like basic information was still
missing.
this weeks episode gives more information about the high council, murphy\'s
relationship with dresden and the like. perfectly normal for information to be
introduced later in a series, sure. but in this case it is clear to me that this
simple information was intended to be shown earlier as we are spoon fed this
information like an introduction, even though we have already come across these
things in earlier episodes. don\'t assume that i have a problem with information
being drawn out, not at all. i have problems with things seeming out of order,
even if all the info is there in some form.
i figured the woman was unimportant seeing as she died and all, so thanks for
pointing that out genius. and despite this clarity you speak of, it was clear to
me that something was missing.
i don\'t have trouble paying attention to anything, i was talking about the first
episode. of course more info was revealed in newer episodes. nor did i want
everything spelled out for me. though i will agree that its a common attitude
lately. what annoyed me is the feeling of something being incomplete, at first i
though it was due to bad writing. but once finding out the intended pilot was a
different episode, it became clear that was the reason. editing another episode
to air it as a new pilot may get the information needed across, but won\'t have
the same feel as the originally intended pilot.
and with your last comment, no need to be a jerk. does that attitude make you
feel better than me? i hope so, because that attitude will carry you far. (that
would be sarcasm in case you were having trouble with that)
i didn't think that the show was going to be very good after seeing the first
aired episode. it just happened to be on before bsg, so i figured, why the hell
not? and i watched it. it was really good. a lot better than i had thought it
would be. i'm definitely a fan now.
every now and again, the sc-fi channel, will come up with some good original
series. farscape, first wave, bsg (to name a few) now, -- dresden files.
